Suggested Smoked Whole Turkey Reheating Instructions

Defrost

If frozen, defrost your fully cooked MUA Smoked Turkey in the refrigerator for up to three days prior to serving. Once thawed, carve it to eat cold, for sandwiches or for slices to place on microwavable dish to enjoy.

Reheating Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375° F
  • Place the cold (not room-temperature) smoked turkey in roasting bag (included)
  • Add a cup of chicken broth to the cavity and seal the bag
  • Place bag in a rigid roasting pan, breast-side down in roasting bag. (This allows the juices from underneath the bird to drip down while it heats up, ensuring a moist, tender breast)
  • Cover turkey with foil and place in oven
  • Drop oven temperature to 275° F and reheat turkey approximately 5-7 minutes per pound
  • A 10-12 pound turkey would need to reheat for around 50-60 minutes
  • Carefully remove turkey from oven and from roasting bag
  • Use a meat thermometer to check temperature. USDA recommends cooking and reheating all poultry to an internal temperature of 165° F

If frozen, defrost Meat U Anywhere BBQ Smoked Ham in the refrigerator for up to three days prior to serving. Once thawed, slice and eat it cold, use for sandwiches or arrange carved slices on microwavable dish and heat to your liking. Enjoy!

Reheating

  • Preheat your oven to 275°F. Place the cold (not room-temperature) Smoked Ham in roasting bag, seal, and place in rigid roasting pan.
  • Cover the Smoked Ham with foil and place in oven.
  • Reheat Smoked Ham for around 5-7 minutes per pound. A 4-5 pound Smoked Ham would need to reheat for around 15-25 minutes.
  • Use extreme caution when removing from oven and roasting bag.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check temperature. USDA recommends cooking and reheating all non-poultry meats to minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees.

Suggested Smoked Prime Rib Reheating Instructions

Defrost your Meat U Anywhere BBQ Smoked Prime Rib Roast in the refrigerator for up to three days. Once thawed, slice it to eat cold, use for sandwiches, or place carved slices on microwavable dish and heat to your liking. Enjoy!

Reheating

*** NOTE: Smoked Prime Rib is prepared to Medium Rare. MUA cannot guarantee that reheating these items will not result in medium well to well done temperature.

  • Preheat your oven to 275°F. Place the cold (not room-temperature) Prime Rib Roast in roasting bag and seal bag
  • Place in rigid roasting pan and cover the Prime Rib Roast with foil and place in oven
  • Reheat Prime Rib Roast for approximately 5-7 minutes per pound. A 5-7 pound Prime Rib Roast would need to reheat for approximately 25-35 minutes, depending on oven
  • Use caution when removing from oven and unsealing roasting bag
  • Use a meat thermometer to check meat temperature. Although many people enjoy prefer Prime Rib Roast rare or medium rare, USDA recommends cooking and reheating all red meats to minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees

Defrost your Meat U Anywhere BBQ fully cooked Smoked Turkey Breast in the refrigerator for up to three days prior to serving. Once thawed, carve it to your liking to eat cold, use for sandwiches or place slices on microwavable dish to heat and enjoy

Reheating

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Place the cold (not room-temperature) turkey breast in roasting bag, add ¼ cup of chicken broth to roasting bag for additional moisture
  • Seal bag and place in rigid roasting pan, breast-side down, ensuring a moist, tender breast
  • Cover the turkey breast with foil and place in oven.
  • Drop oven temperature to 275°F. Reheat the smoked turkey breast approximately 5-7 minutes per pound. A 3-5 pound turkey breast would need to reheat for approximately 20-30 minutes
  • Use caution when removing smoked turkey breast from oven and roasting bag
  • Use a meat thermometer to check temperature
  • USDA recommends cooking and reheating all poultry to an internal temperature of 165°F

Suggested Tamales Reheating Instructions

If you like your tamales moist and tender when they come off the husk, then the steaming option is for U!

Steam or Microwave Cooked Tamales

  • Simply place your well-thawed, cooked tamales with the corn husk still on and steam for 20-25 minutes. No Steamer? No problem! Enjoy your moist tamales by reheating using a microwave
  • Place tamales in microwavable dish, cover with a damp paper towel
  • Reheat for between 3-5 minutes. All power levels vary so heat to your liking
  • Use caution when removing tamales from microwave and from husks

Frozen Raw Tamales

  • Frozen Raw Tamales should be steamed with water in base of steamer to slightly touch bottom of tamales, no more than 1-inch direct contact with water
  • After placing water in steamer pot, arrange tamales, stacked horizontally or if vertically with open end of husk toward the top
  • Cover with a wet white kitchen towel to retain moisture as steam rises through to cook masa firm, yet tender to the bite. Cover with lid
  • Overall timelines vary slightly from gas to electric stove tops and steamer or double boiler method, from approximately 35-40 minutes, but most of the time you can literally smell when they are done
  • Test by pulling one tamale from center and if it unrolls out of husk with ease and masa is firm, then it’s ready. If they are done, turn off heat and allow the tamales to rest for about 10 minutes before removing and serving
  • Use caution extreme caution when removing as tamales are steam are hot
  • If you own an Instant Pot or the like, those are the absolute best for cooking raw Meat U Anywhere tamales from frozen to tender, ready to eat 30-35 minutes
  • Allow them to rest 10 minutes before removing from steam
  • Use extreme caution when removing tamales as the steam can be very hot
